As part of the JHU Data Science Hackathon (DaSH), we sought to characterize and map bicycle safety in Baltimore. We used data on accidents, crime, and road hazards (such as potholes) from Open Baltimore, mapped them to street locations, and used the leaflet package to create an interactive map.
